Patio Decor Ideas

We are officially ready for warmer weather and the entertaining season thanks to The Home Depot!

We gave our patio a makeover, and I am sharing tips for creating a patio you love on The Home Depot’s Blog and you can check it out HERE!

Here’s a quick little video of how we transformed our boring space into a space we will use both for our family and for entertaining:

As you saw in the video, our bare patio needed some attention. Here is the before:

We are cutting down the only large tree in our backyard due to some issues it is causing to our home. Thankfully The Home Depot offers shade solutions like this gorgeous Hampton Bay 11 ft. Aluminum Cantilever Solar LED Offset Patio Umbrella in Putty.

It swivels so we can adjust the shade as the sun moves!

It was shipped directly to our door, and assembly was fairly easy. It required two hands due to its size, but it was a quick process.

The Hampton Bay Grayson dining set is so comfortable and the round table is perfect for entertaining and conversation!

It was also shipped to our home and assembly was SO easy.

I took the chairs out of the box and added the cushions.

The table required assembly of the base which was easy enough for me to do on my own – I just needed my son’s help to flip the table over.

The Home Depot offers a huge variety of flowers and plants for creating the perfect entertaining spot.

I purchased my centerpiece, and it came with this pretty pot. It was effortless and looks so good!

I added three hanging flowers to our overhang, and I love the color they bring to the space.

I also love to pot arborvitae. They are so easy to grow and stay green year-round!

The Home Depot also offer pre-assembled flower pots like this geranium with Dracaena spikes. I just dropped the pot in a pretty urn and that was it!

We added a new Weber Genesis II S-335 3-Burner Propane Gas Grill in Stainless Steel and can’t wait to kick off the season with it!

Steve assembled the grill. It was more time consuming than the patio furniture, but he said the directions were straightforward and easy!

We can’t wait to begin hosting events with our new updated patio!

It has been the LONGEST winter here in Indiana, so we are ready for some outside time!

We are going to fully use this space now that the weather is warming up!

  1. Hi Sara. Looks great! Thanks for the inspiration. You might want to let readers know that Home Depot can assemble grills if you buy one that’s already in the store. It takes a bit more effort to get it home but the assembly is likely to be free of charge.
