Pegboard can be used in spaces other than garages – what about a laundry room pegboard?
My neighbor has a pegboard in her laundry room, and I decided it would be a great way to organize my laundry room. Why should the garage have all the fun and organization?
I’ll be sharing the full pegboard tutorial soon, but let’s talk accessories! I began with the pegboard hooks, and bought a bunch off Amazon (affiliate link):
I spray-painted them gold using Valspar’s spray paint.
I also spray-painted the hanger in the laundry bags, also found on Amazon (affiliate link):
Aren’t they adorable? I used my Silhouette Cameo to create the (iron-on) lettering. I also spray-painted Lena’s little plastic bucket from our beach spring break trip.
At first, I thought it would be a lint holder, but then I decided a golden bucket had to be for the spare change found in pockets. I found these pegboard baskets on Amazon (affiliate link):
Which are perfect for laundry supplies…
…and the larger one is great for an iron.
I also spray painted them using Rust-Oleum Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint
.
And I spray painted this pull-down ironing board that of course was from Amazon (affiliate link):
My drying rack was one I already had, but I stained the wood sides to make it more special and fit with the look.
What do you think? Can pegboard work in spaces other than the garage?

This is great! Where did you get the pegboard?
Hardware stores have it – I find ours at Home Depot & Lowes.
Hi, what a great idea!! Did you need to put anything behind the pegboard?
