Seasonal Decor

Colorful Christmas Tree

I wanted to do something a little different this year with my decor this holiday season, so I created a colorful Christmas tree! I used colors from the artwork in our family room to create a fun, festive tree.

But first, if you are visiting from Jenna Kate Design, welcome! I decorated the tree with pink, burgandy, and navy bulbs, and I added in some pear ornaments and DIY lemon ornaments.  I love the color the mini lemon tree I have in my kitchen brings to the space, and since the tree is basically in the kitchen, I decided to tie in the lemons. I also added faux greenery and some yellow floral and candied cranberry sprigs.

I absolutely love my new tree.  It is from King of Christmas, and it’s the 7.5 Foot King Fraser Fir Slim Quick-Shape Artificial Christmas Tree.

Not only is it beautiful, but it fits perfectly in my space.  Thanks to the slim shape, we still have room to walk from the family room into the kitchen.

Supplies Needed for Colorful Christmas Tree:

In my space, I have a moody dark living room and a light white kitchen nook.  I love how the colorful tree looks with both areas of our home, and I also love having a Christmas tree in our kitchen!

When selecting my decor, I tried to think more organically because of the lemons and pears which is why I went with faux greenery over my usual metallic gold accents.

I also decided to not add lights to the tree.  I’ll have a lit tree in the family room, and I felt this one was colorful enough.

  1. Sara,
Oh my goodness your colorful tree is perfect in front of your lovely dark wall! it is exactly what that way needed! Such a stunning compliment! Love all your lemon and berries which goes so nicely with the kitchen theme too! Now I want the same tree!

  2. Oh, this tree is lovely and wonderfully colorful. It reminds me of the renaissance fruit Christmas tree I had for a few years. I like yours better. Cheers and Happy Holidays, Ardith

  3. Your tree is beautiful!
    Love the Williamsburg Colonial feel.
That style also uses no lights.
Always loved fruits and greenery on trees.
